NaNoWriMo

Yesterday I finished my second NaNoWriMo novel draft!

So my failure to publish a single blog post here for all of November was, in fact, intentional.

I tried not to take on this project, I really did. I tried to stick with the overabundant coding, knitting, design and writing projects I’d already committed to. But I failed. MMMMmmm perhaps I didn’t try that hard.

I wrote a near-future fantasy with magical bonds, secrets, mothers and daughters and glamour, all set in the gothic centre of Edinburgh, this city I love so much! This was my third NaNoWriMo experience, and the second time I’ve managed the goal of 50,000 words drafted in one month (yesterday I reached 51,644 words and mostly finished the story!).

WOOT WOOT! I’m in a celebratory mood, and it’s the first day of December, so I’d better stop writing and get to some chocolate eating!
