Hello – I’m Emily.

I grew up on Vancouver Island, then studied architecture at the University of Waterloo. I’ve had the joy of living in many cities, and have made my home in Edinburgh for the last decade.

I really love my work designing knitting patterns – my partner Alexa and I design, photograph, write, and promote our work at Tin Can Knits.

My small kids and husband keep my life busy! Alongside work and family fun, I enjoy learning languages (spanish, angular, css and typescript currently), running, hanging out a the neighbourhood park, spinning, knitting, reading and writing.
